December 2010

I hope you are ready for the Christmas season and all of the activities surrounding this time of the year.

We will be having our Christmas party at the Woodman lodge and the activities will be as follows.

All members are invited to bring a covered dish; we didn’t have a signup sheet so bring your favorite dish for the club to enjoy. Turn a gift for in the drawing portion of the meeting if your wife comes and wants to participate bring a gift for her. Please wrap the gifts and note man or woman. You will be given a ticket for the drawing one for each present. We will also give you a ticket for the drawing of the door prizes, which will be separate from the rest.

If you have turned an entry for the 25th anniversary of the AAW please bring it for the judging. It must be small enough to fit inside an 8” cube. You must be willing to sell it as well.

Come and join in the fun.

In January Pat Matranga will be turning for us. This will be paid for by the club, Non members will be charged $25.00.

In February we will be having a sawdust session. If you would like to see a specific type of turning call Bill Bryan and ask him to set it up so we all can see it.

March will be exciting for the club we will have David Ellsworth turning for us. He was the first member of the AAW. Put this on your schedule so you don’t miss the opportunity to learn from the master. We will have more info as the day approaches.

Hope to see you at the Christmas party next week, if not then MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR
