The
New Year is here ready or not. Hope we are ready for whatever lays ahead for
each and every one of us.

Al hands out tickets for the Christmas drawing to

Larry Deland chose the table made by John Peeples, Leland's
comment, "that is a very nice table"

Dr.J opens a very nice vessel from one of our members. Call me
and let me know who you are.

spaulted maple.

Durk holds up a note and a piece of wood from Darnell Jackson.
The surprise was the note said he was to receive the two lighted center pieces
at the food table. Big surprise.

Russ made it for two different size gouges, I believe they are 3/8" and a
1/2" unless she can use it in the library, George may get a new
handle.

Ned said that he made 8 sets for gifts to his friends. Ask Ned for the story
behind this endeavor.

by Chyerl Ross a guest of Leland.

Nice Christmas party. The club had an outstanding turnout for
the gift exchange. Some of the members submitted two turnings. My collection of
member turnings is starting to grow. This program is working very well in
encouraging members to do more turning and becoming better turners.

MaryAnn receives her gift from Tom Kilgore a bowl and a pencil
holder she says thank you Tom.

Norm Feinberg received a very nice Mesquite turning from Mark
McClain.

Looked like it had some worm holes in it from the other photo.

Mark has one of Jack Diamonds turned segmented pencil holder and a
snowman for Christmas. Very nice looking pencil holder.

Penny Kilgore receives three bottle stoppers from Margaret
Jones fit for a queen.
Larry Sauls holds up the toothpick holder that Larry Starkey
made for the party. A very unique lidded box.

the photo this sure was a busy meeting and I needed your help.

wood is spaulted Oak.

Here Larry Sauls holds up the turning he picked out for his
wife. Made by M that was all the clues as to who made the bowl let us know if you
made it so we can give you the credit.

Shirley said she has been waiting for a mill for awhile. Bill says " I have
the mechanism for a mill, but never got around to it" looks like Al got him
off the hook.

But Sue, OB wanted a picture of you and MaryAnn for short and
tall side by side.
Norm I think that I heard Ralph "saying that is kosher
pork".
What are they looking at ?, don't seem to be the plum wood in
the trailer. It may be to late to save your shoes. See you at the next meeting.
