Artistic Woodturners
February Newsletter
Our February meeting is going to be on Saturday the 15th at
Leland Leonard's Woodworking Shop located across the street from the AAA office.
His address is 537 Brent Lane and the meeting will start at 9am.
Remember that the club project will be spindle turning, so knock the cobwebs off
your lathe and make a club project. Don't forget about making something for the
Show and Tell portion of the meeting. This is one of the learning processes in
woodturning, learning from other members who discovers a method of turning and
shares it with others. Sharing your knowledge with others and help to inspire
them to achieve more on their lathe and become a better turner.
The club dues are due at this time, single membership $20.00 and $35.00 for a
husband and wife. This money will be used to benefit all members with special
professional turners coming to Pensacola to teach our members how to achieve
more if that is their inclination to learn more. We encourage our membership to
help each other learn more about turning.
Some of you may remember the effort to start a tutoring program, last year, with
other newer members. This program is still in place and
several members are willing to offer their time and shops to show other members
who want to turn but don't know where to start. Contact any one of the following
for help in this area, OB O'Brien 994-0880, Jack Diamond 479-3314, and Al McCoy
434-1687. If you would like to help other members let the club know.
For the computer people our web sight is
