Youth Woodturning Class

Artistic Woodturners of Northwest Florida is holding their First Annual Youth Woodturning Class.  In an effort to create a new generation of woodturners the American Association Woodturners  has requested the each local chapter host a series of Youth Woodturning Classes.  Our local chapter will be holding class June 4, 11 and 25 from 9am to Noon. 

Classes will start with students being  given basic instruction on woodturning, with a emphasis on safety.   The remainder of the time will be spent in "Hands of Sessions".  During these sessions the instructors will take their students step by step through making  simple woodturning  projects.  Each student should leave with basic woodturning skills and one or two items to take home.

Student should be between the age 10 and 17 and be able to follow instructions and all safety precautions.   Classes will be held at  Woodman of the World Lodge. A fee of 25$ per student will cover all 3 classes and project supplies.
