Mark Gardner did a demonstration for the Artistic Woodturners January the 17th and 18th. On Saturday Mark showed the club how he made his small handled bowl, a covered vessel, showed how to make a carving tool sharpener out of MDF plywood. He showed  us how he laid out the design on his vessel before carving on his work.

 

On Sunday he went a little deeper into his method of turning. He showed the attendees how he makes a spoon on his lathe and a spoon from a tauga nut with a turned bamboo handle. It was a learning experience for all.
